Acetaminophen or deadly rash

Its potentially fatal side effects include severe erythema multiforme and toxic epidermal necrolysis with initial flu symptoms, followed by itchy skin and exfoliation of the skin.

The FDA requires that all manufacturers of prescription acetaminophen must add the risk of skin rash to the instructions, and encourage all companies selling non-prescription acetaminophen to add this risk warning.

Acetaminophen is the most commonly used non-inflammatory antipyretic analgesic. It has similar antipyretic effects as aspirin. It has weak analgesic effects and no anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic effects. It is the best acetanilide drug. Particularly suitable for patients who cannot use carboxylic acid drugs.
