As we all know, exercise is good for us. The latest research shows that physical exercise can significantly extend the life expectancy of cancer patients.
The latest research found that exercise not only allows cancer patients to consume excess energy, but also halve the risk of death.
Researchers at the University of Loyola's Stritch School of Medicine observed 1021 men who had diagnosed cancer before the age of 71, and found that people who consumed 12,600 calories per week had less exercise than those who consumed less than 2,100 calories per week. The risk of death is reduced by 48%.
Dr. Kathlee Wolin, co-author of the study, explained that many cancer survivors diagnosed cancer earlier and received better treatment and survived longer.
She said: "Physical exercise can increase the life expectancy of these people."
Although many studies have shown that persistence in exercise can increase the life expectancy of healthy people. But this study shows that exercise can also increase the lifespan of cancer patients.
Researchers used Harvard Graduate Health Research data, which is Harvard University's data on the health status of male graduates enrolled between 1916 and 1950.
In 1988, graduates who participated in the survey filled out questionnaires about their exercise habits, including the frequency of walking, climbing stairs, and participating in sports. At the same time, the census regularly updated their exercise from 1993 to 1998.
