The planting tool can choose a round wooden stick or small iron shovel with a diameter of about 1.5 cm. When planting, first make a shallow hole, perpendicular to the ground, then insert the small iron shovel into the soil, then lift it up slightly, so that the root must be lowered. Keep the onions straight. If the roots of the onion are bent at the time of planting, the scallion will be bent after harvesting, which becomes a defective product.

Second, timely soil and topdressing. Timely soiling, it has the effect of preventing lodging, softening the pseudo stem, increasing the length of the scallion, and preventing the whitening and bending. When cultivating soil, it should be gradually thickened according to the age of the seedlings. The growth period of green onions generally requires 3 times of soil. The first cultivation is called a small cultivation period. When the green onions grow to about 30 cm, it is not allowed to cultivate the soil too early. The thickness of the soil is about 5 cm, and 75 kg of organic fertilizer and 10 kg of compound fertilizer are applied.

When the onion grows to 40 cm, the second cultivation is carried out, that is, the large cultivation period, the thickness of the soil is controlled at about 10 cm, and 100 kg of organic fertilizer and 20 kg of high-nitrogen or potassium-containing compound fertilizer are applied to promote the growth of the green onion; The third time the soil is cultivated, the thickness of the soil is controlled at about 10 cm, and 30 kg of calcium nitrate can be applied at the same time. This time, the soil can not be applied with urea, otherwise the scallion will become soft and affect the quality of the green onion.

Third, master the height of the soil. Each time the soil should be carried out in the afternoon when the leaves are soft, the height of the soil should not be buried in the heart, so as not to cause roots and plants to rot. Do not use too much soil when cultivating soil, and do not be too deep, so as to avoid more wounds in the roots of the scallions and infect root diseases. Every time you raise the soil, you should keep the fake stems of the onions straight, and you can't let the soil not pass the green onion, that is, only bury the leaf sheath, do not bury the leaves, otherwise it will easily cause the white onion to bend and reduce the commercial nature of the green onions.
