On January 14, the Provincial Infectious Disease Control Center's Influenza Laboratory confirmed the diagnosis of H7N9 by checking the submitted samples.
At present, the case is still being actively treated. All close contacts of the case were medically observed and no abnormalities were found.

It is understood that the patient is 52 years old and now lives in Pingtang County, Minnan. After investigation, the case was engaged in poultry trafficking activities before the onset of the disease.
