Cucumber and watermelon wilt disease, muskmelon disease, root rot of pepper and other chronic diseases difficult to cure fruits and vegetables encountered "nemesis". The School of Life Sciences and Technology, Shanghai Jiaotong University, through the implementation of the key projects of the city's scientific and technological development of agriculture, "Study on the Control of Melon Fusarium Wilt Disease by Dual-Functional Growth-Promoting Bacteria," "Cloning and Functional Research of Carboxyl Phenazine-Coding Genes of Biological Pesticides" and "Biology After years of research and development, the pesticide Phenanthrene fluorescens strain M18, with its own intellectual property rights, has been developed in China. It has developed a broad spectrum, high efficiency, safety, and effective control of fungal roots. The biopesticides of rot and stem rot were designated as “Shenoxacinâ€, and two invention patents for rosinomycin were applied. At present, the annual incidence of fungal root rot and stem rot in fruits and vegetables exceeds 25 million mu and the economic loss amounts to several billion yuan. The outbreak area in the suburbs of Shanghai is about 40,000 mu each year, and the economic loss is nearly 150 million yuan. In the long run, the main means of preventing and treating these diseases is the spraying of chemical agents such as “killable†and “Topozinâ€. Residues of pesticides not only affect food safety and quality, but also pollute the ecological environment. M18 is an antibiotic that has been isolated from the rhizosphere soils of many strains of autogenous bacteria. It can inhibit a wide variety of crop pathogenic fungi and has advantages over chemical agents such as efficient disease prevention, promotion of high yield and quality of crops, and protection of the ecological environment. The staff conducted an in-depth study on M18, developed a high-yield genetically engineered strain, stabilized the fermentation unit of roxenomycin at about 1000 mg/l, and had a pilot fermentation level of 800 mg/l or more. The research group has conducted trials in various places. The average control effect of rosinomycin on blight, wilt and root rot is 80%. With the support of the project, the Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Life Sciences has teamed up with Shanghai Nongle Biological Products Co., Ltd. to complete the development of 0.1% and 1% of the dexamethasone suspension and established a pilot production line. It has accumulatively promoted the use of 50 tons of preparations and achieved sales revenue of 5 million yuan.
