In the production of edible fungi, due to the continuous cultivation, more and more bacteria are caused, resulting in a drastic decline in the success rate of germs, and it is also very susceptible to diseases during fruiting period. So far, no specific drug has been found to be able to prevent and control, making it a difficult problem in the current production of edible fungi. In fact, the bacterial infections in the production of edible fungi are not incurable diseases. The technicians of the Institute of Edible Fungi, Xintai City, Shandong Province, have found a solution to this problem during many years of cultivation practices.
They found that the bacteria that appeared in the production of edible fungi had a certain degree of specificity. Pleurotus ostreatus does not affect mushrooms, mushrooms do not affect fungus, and so on. It is not easy to cross-infect between different varieties of the same type. According to this feature, it is possible to avoid the contamination of germs by scientifically selecting varieties of staggered cultivation. For example, in summer and autumn, Xintai 83-7, a high-temperature variety, can be used. In autumn and winter, Fengping 818 or Heiping 81 can be used, or Dongfeng 85, and then 83-7 in spring. In this way, it means that each breed is always in a new environment. If the same variety is continuously cultivated in the same field, the possibility of infecting the bacteria will become greater. Therefore, the variety is changed and the output is doubled.
