Corn bacterial wilt, also known as corn stalk rot, is an important soil facultative disease that harms the roots and stem base of corn. The incidence rate is generally 5% to 10%, and severe cases can reach 80% or more.
The incidence of bacterial wilt is related to the conditions of the variety, planting time, planting density, field waterlogging and irrigation, and low-temperature and low-temperature climate.
Bacterial wilt usually occurs before and after the corn milking period, especially when the planting density is high, the weather is hot, and suddenly rainstorms occur. Among them, the most common is the sunny day after the continuous rain. The sun exposure is even more serious.
Bacterial wilt is a general term for a class of diseases caused by a variety of pathogenic bacteria infecting individually or in combination causing root and stem decay. There are mainly three types of blue-green, yellow-dry and blue-yellow dry, the former two mainly.
The green and dry type is also called acute type. After the onset of disease, the leaves quickly die from bottom to top and appear gray-green, hot or frosted. This type mainly occurs on susceptible varieties and conditions are suitable. The yellow dry type is also called chronic type. After onset, the leaves gradually dry up from the bottom up. This type of symptoms mainly occurs on resistant varieties or when the environmental conditions are not suitable. The symptoms of blue-green, yellow-dry and stem-root rot are all caused by the root damage. The incidence of yellow bacterial wilt in maize is usually only 5 to 8 days and yellow blight is only 2 to 3 days.
Studies have shown that pathogens can infect plant roots throughout the growing season causing root rot, resulting in shorter root rot, loose root epidermis, hollow pith, reduced fibrous roots and root hairs, resulting in insufficient water supply above the ground and blue-green Or yellowish symptoms.
The pathogen of corn bacterial wilt is still controversial. There are three kinds of bacteria in different parts of the country: 1. caused by fungus Fusarium; 2. caused by fungal pythium; 3. invaded by Pythium and Fusarium Dye formation.
In recent years, we have obtained effective methods for preventing bacterial wilt through experiments, and prevent bacterial wilt from reaching more than 80%.
1. The best way to prevent corn bacterial wilt is secondary coating at the sowing stage of corn. It is believed that the introduction of the microbial inoculum into the plant will reproduce it, as if it had been given an immunization needle to the crop. Therefore, the control effect of the microbial inoculum should be due to a pesticide bactericide. The coating agent is based on the principle that the microbial agent is the main bactericide. Among them, the most economical combination of H. harzianum microorganisms and fluoxetine (flucylonitrile) is included.
As a kind of biocontrol bacteria, Trichoderma harzianum can be used to prevent plant diseases caused by pathogenic bacteria such as Pythium, Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium, Rhizopus, Haloxylon, Sclerotinia, and Sclerotium sclerotiorum. The secreted enzymes and antibiotic substances decompose the cell walls of the pathogenic fungi and form a “protective cover†around the growth of the plant roots to prevent the infection of the root pathogenic fungi. Treatment of fungal diseases while preventing bacterial diseases.
At the time of the music, (flucylonitrile) not only does the seed coat film quickly and does not fall off, but it also quickly kills fungal pathogens on the seed surface and seed coat.
2. In the 3-8 leaf stage of maize and 10-12 leaf stage (spraying control agent), a bucket of water can be sprayed with 60 grams of corn and more than 3 grams of corn by streomycin. ~ 3 times, interval 5 to 7 days is appropriate.
3. For landslides with severe bacterial wilt in past years, it can be watered in the big bell-mouth stage of corn, and 1-2 bottles of soil improver (microbial microbial agent) or 1 to 1.5 kg of Cobo Manganese zinc Bordeaux mixture).
